What happens
when you call Maro.
Maro is a demo of an AI phone assistant for takeaways, run by Spectrumkod Ltd. This page explains what happens when you register and call, what we keep, and how to reach us.
Last updated 22 October 2026.
You’ll be talking to an AI, not a person
Maro is an AI voice assistant. When you call the demo number, your call is answered by software: it listens, works out what you’d like and replies in a generated voice. It can mishear or get things wrong, so it reads your order back before you confirm it.
It’s a demo: nothing is charged or delivered
The takeaway, menu, prices and offers are fictional. You’ll never be asked for card or payment details, nothing is charged, and no order is sent to a restaurant or kitchen. Please don’t share sensitive personal information on the call: you only need to order from the sample menu.
What we collect
- When you register: your business name and mobile number. Your public IP address is used to limit how many codes can be sent.
- When you sign in: a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 14 days.
- When you call: the number you call from (so Maro recognises your business), the call’s start and end times, a transcript of what you and Maro say, your order and every change to it, and how much of each service the call used, with its estimated cost.
- Technical logs that help us fix problems. They don’t contain phone numbers or sign-in codes.
Service providers that run the calls, send sign-in codes and host Maro process this data only on our behalf. Call data is stored in the European Union, and the AI services Maro uses don’t keep what it sends them or use it for training.
How long we keep it
- Calls, transcripts, orders and usage records: deleted automatically 30 days after the call.
- Call recordings kept to check quality, with personal details removed where detected: deleted after 30 days.
- Sign-in and verification records: deleted 30 days after they expire.
- Your business name and mobile number: kept until you ask us to delete them.
